Oscar Award Night Party

Amelie's birthday (Amelie is my wife !).  The challenge was to receive our friends, from 13 to 50 years old, and many of them did not know each other.

The party title was "our fabulous destinies" with reference to "Le fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain", and of course the theme of the night was the cinema awards.

The text of the invitation letter (1 page) contained more than 40 movies titles hidden in the phrases, just as a quizz It asked to wear something with reference to any well known movie : some people came with a complete costume (a queen, a magician) some others brought only a special object (like a bunch of roses without flowers, like in Adams Family).

Each one received a sheet of paper, decorated with award drawings (Oscars..) and a list of all the guests'names.

The game consisted in finding and writing down the movie corresponding to everybody.

At the end we collected the papers, and we awarded everybody as the best in its category, and each one received a (small) personal gift (you have to invent as many categories as guests !)

At last, everybody did talk to everybody (even children with adults), and we had a lot of fun !
