Tea Party I needed an excuse to use my new china, that I got in Czech, and what better way than a tea party.
Since my china has pink roses and gold trim, the invitations I made, with pink cardstock and gold ribbon. I used a regular 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock and cut it into 4 squares, then took clear vellum and did the same thing. I then punched 2 small holes in it and tied the pink cardstock and the vellum together with the gold ribbon. I had a cute picture on the front (vellum), and under the picture on the cardstock were all the details.
I decided to serve crucumber sandwiches, and a variety of cookies and cakes.
I was planning on having it outside, but the weather wasn't cooperating, so I had to settle for an indoors tea party, and it was still a blast.
We talked about all kinds of things, and before the women left they got to take a home a little party favor.
I used baby food jars and filled them with instant cafe or tea mixes, and included a little note on how to make it... I cut out pink tissue paper and placed it overtop the jar and tied it with gold ribbon.
Everyone really enjoyed the party, and has told me that we're doing it again next month. :)
