Mah Jong Memories Party 80yr

My mother is turning 80 and we are planning a surprise birthday party.  Guests: Old friends whom she used to play Mah Jong with and close neighbors and relatives. Invitation: I used photoshop to edit an old caricature of my mother, painted by my niece when she was 13 years old. I put, Pining is turning 80!! with the number 8 as 2 balls and the 0 as 1 ball of the Mah Jong tiles. the frame of the invitation are also minimized mah jong tiles side by side.  Cake: I had planned on giving her a cake with Mah Jong motiff again but on the other hand my mother was a dress maker so I decided to have a fondant cake with a dressmaker in her sewing machine (made of fondant) as the top figurine.  Color motif is fuchsia pink and apple green. Place: In a clubhouse near our home with pool. Floating candles decorate the pool makes the ambiance romantic the whole night. Music: oldies Matt Monroe type of songs and jazz. Food: Food fit for seniors not too sweet nor too salty. Party: Games for grown ups and children to cheer up everybody. with prizes to be won and treat bags to be given away. Soaps and face towels scrubs and kitchen stuffs useful for adults. For kids chocolate bars. Adult games will be guess the celebrant likes. Questions will be asked pertaining to the celebrant: favorite food color place name of first child place of birth etc. guests will guess the answer.  The guests are given note cards to write on their wishes for the celebrant. These are placed on a wall especially decorated for the note cards. one side of the wall has a backdrop of the name of the celebrant that will serve as a photo booth where guests have their pictures taken with retro props.  surprise dance from the grand children song number  from the children and some relatives liven up the party. Children give special messages to the celebrant. decors: just plain balloons with ribonettes and tule of the color motif and fresh flowers as center pieces for each tables.   "
