Baseball Shower - Wedding Bell Bingo

My brother, Rob, is getting married this summer in Dallas. I wanted his friends and our family in Houston to be able to attend a shower/party for he and his fiance' Kim.
Robert had the idea to go to an Astros game after the party so with these ingredients I went to work. I sent out baseball themed invitations about 6 weeks before the party, having people rsvp for the game a month ahead of time. We had the party at a sports bar that's within walking distance of the ballpark so no one had to drive to the game or pay a parking fee.
We played 'Wedding Bell Bingo' a bingo game I made on my computer. I came up with 35 words that pertained to Rob and Kim's wedding (the flower choice, colors, song choices, names of all the parents and attendants, etc) and everyone filled out their own squares and I gave away an Astros prize pack to the winner.
I made a baseball themed cake and even had some leftover for the waitstaff that was so helpful to us. Everyone raved about the party (and the cake!) for days and several of the ladies took a copy of the bingo game home to use at a party or shower in the future!
The party was very cheap, I only payed for chips and hot sauce/queso and soft drinks and everyone payed for their own liquor. Plus, we cleaned up all the gift wrap paper but we didn't have to really clean up the restaurant. I'd throw another party like this in a heartbeat!
