I just hosted a Real Housewives of Orange County themed cocktail party. It was a perfect night IN for the girls. I sent out invitations about 4 weeks prior to the party. I cut and pasted a group picture of the cast of the real housewives of orange county. It included date, time, place, and told the girls to leave their sneakers and sweatpants at home. I really wanted everyone to come dressed up to make it extra special. I purchased black table clothes from Sams Club (they come a package of 2) I used one for the table I had my appetizers on and the other for my gift bag" table. I printed out a couple pictures of the cast of RHOC and placed them in picture frames. I had 3 vases full of fresh flowers scattered around the room. To give it a more elegant "event" feel I used clear glass dishessilverwareand wine glasses. I served roasted shrimp cocktailtuna fish on mini bagels with a small tomato in the center to give it colorchicken ceaser salad in a pita platter of cheese, crackers, and grapes, mushroom canaper shot, spinach dip and individual cut up veggies with dip, which I served in a slender glass cup. For dessert I served chocolate eclairs and cream puffs I purchased at sams club. I served wine sangeria and some of the ladies bought a bottle of wine. I used shopping bags from designer stores such as Gucci, Bloomingdales, etc (luckily someone I know shops there..so she was able to give me a few designer bags..) I was short 2 bags so I purchased black bags and made up 2 more designer bags using the correct font to match the name of the store. I filled each bag with a ton of make upskin creamshair productsetc...(I do have a connection so that stuff didnt cost much) I placed each of these bags on a table. During the party I picked names out of hat and had the ladies pick a bag. Once everyone had a bag I had them pick out a number..They had one chance to switch their bag..some women chose to keep the bag they chosesome other decided to take a chance and swithc. I was lucky enough to find the game "bunco" which one of the ladies on the show played at a get together during one of the episodes for $5.00 in AC MOORE. The game worked out perfectly everyone was having a great time. The women had a great time everyone is excited for the next one."
