Murder Mystery Party 21yr

for my 21st birthday i decieded to hold a murder mystery dress up party, as something different.  i downloaded the rules, and scripts from a website *jsut search murder mystery parties) it had a small download cost, but i couldnt find anywhere else that sells them)  everyone participated really well, and dressed appropriatley. some ideas were, feathers in hair, or head band around the forehead, oriental fans i stuck feathers along the top to give it a bit more 1920's look, long plastic beaded necklace strings, either notted or looped, and feather boas. alot can be bought from cheap shops or op shops.  the guys wore suspenders, hats, white scarves drapped over their shoulders, vests, eslatic bands around their upper arms, hats and white ties. also mostly bought from op shops.  my parents managed to get costumes that look like maids and butlers from an op shop, and help be the hosts to make sure the party ran smoothly.  my brother also played the card dealer. we had a table set up in the corner with jumbo sized cards to play black jack. as the murder mystery game had money involved, it was one way of doubling you money.  the food being served, mostly came out on silver trays, or cake stand plates. and was finger food, so we could focus on the murder mystery game, but also to give the elegant feel.  for decorations, we had coloured soft fabric scarves over some lamps. and managed to buy some 1920's cds from ebay. we also painted up some old pictures, with women from that era, and added a sepia look to the paper.
